    2. FAY LIST
    3. Good afternoon everyone, I'm posting a letter from Hans Jurgen to the Fay list. For unknown reasons the computer don't think Hans is a subscriber, but I have added him again. Hans is in Germany, and is researching there. Apparently in Germany the Fay's name is also spelled Fey, Vay, and Vey. I don't know why. Hope this is of help for everyone interested in the German Fay's ************************************************************************* Hello everyone, hi Bob! You might remember my huegenaut idea for the name "Fey" a few month ago. Now I have informations about a woman called Anna "du Fay"! She is mentioned in a book about the oldest families of the hessian city of "Hanau" here in Germany she was born in the year 1637 in Basel, today Switzerland, and was a daughter of Jacob du Fay and Maria de Famars. She was married two times, first with Jakob Balte (February 6th, 1667), who died before 1674. On on February 16th in 1674 she married th second time, her husband was Jaques Cregut, a prayer with huegenaut religion. I think herself must also be huegenaut religion! And I have heard, that in the years after the 30-years-war, many people from Switzerland and other countries have settled in areas of hessia. Because the aborigines were killed and the land was wasted. For the one who can speak german, I put the original Message posted to me, at the end of this posting. My English is not so good, may bee you can use the original text better! <message/> Greetings from Germany ... Hans-Juergen Fey PS: Please let me make a short question to Bob Fay! What about the Fey-List, I havenŽt got any news since a long time from this list. Can you inform me, if I am still under the subscribbers of this list? Thank you! :-) ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
