Dear Mary : I haven't posted my family line for quite a while. Levi Fay is my GGGrandfather, according to the 1850 Iowa Census he was listed head of the household, and gave his place of birth as Penn. he was born 1824. I have the marriage record of Levi Fay and Sarah Ann Merrill , married in 1848 in Vevay, Switzerland Co. Ind. I have information that his Father was Joseph Fay born about 1780/90 this is where I have hit a dead-end, no information about where Josepph was from. No I don't live near Penn. I live way west in Arizona so as you can see I have to do all my research by long-distance. I do have access to the LDS Family History Library but for some reason we can't find a record of Joseph (wife Martha?) so I am having to rely on census records ect.
