Hello Everyone... I am one of the people who got onto this list "by surprise", but stayed on anyway... you never know, right? Given that this is a surname list... thought the "idea" of a roll call might be a good time to come out and introduce myself... tell you about the FAY interests I have... and hope to hear about all of "you" too. (then pray for intersections or leads!). Some folks reply "to the list" (nice, since all can see it...) and some reply via private e:mail to the poster. I've found that some (if they got a lot of private e:mail) will post a "summary" to the list... and thus all can benefit, learn of research options and possibly connect as well. That said... I am really here "in a little way".... My primary research interest that lead me to the FAY name was my PRATT family research. (They came from ENG into MA - then to southern VT - then northern VT - then western NY - with a few running over to MI). If I add in the colateral (sp?) lines.. John PRATT 04 Jan 1715/16 in Marlborough (he b 1691 in Sherborn, MA & d 1768 in Bennington, VT) (son of John PRATT and 3rd wife: Ruth Stimpson) d. __??__ in Bennington, VT I see Bathsheba FAY as the daughter of John FAY and Elizabeth WELLINGTON --- and this John FAY as the son of John FAY and Mary BRIGHAM.
