Hello, This might be a long shot but, I have been wondering about a Fay Couple for a long time. There was a will in Staten Island mentioning leaving part of the estate of a VanPelt, to a Grandson . It said John Fey or Foy. Was illegible. Elizabeth VanPelt married Stalham Wing. He was from VT. They moved to Toledo OH. Around 1850 they moved to CA. Stalham's brother L.B. Wing was a trustee for Ohio State University in Newark Oh, and his other brother lived in Bloomfield OH. After moving to CA, the Wings attend a small wedding in Oakland, The bride being a Watson the groom a VanPelt. Only relatives attended and yet there was a Mr. And Mrs. William Fay. I have always been puzzled by this. This is why I joined the Fay List. Only Stalham and Elizabeth moved to CA. The brothers stayed in OH. Since you have a Fay and a Wing I wonder if there is a connection. Also if you join the Wing list they are very helpful. The Wing family is well researched.
