FARRIS Earl Lee Farris, 82, of Orrick, MO, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2003. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City. Friends may call at the chapel 9-10 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 6600 N. Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO. Earl was born December 14, 1920 in Carrollton, MO. Mr. Farris is survived by his daughter, Geanie Porte and her husband, John; granddaughters, Staci Bockwinkel and husband, Darryl and Stephani Reynolds and her husband, Vince; and four great-grandchildren. Earl has a very special nephew, Grover Fullbright, who he visited quite often. Earl lived as a companion and loved one for the last seven years with Sarah Fulte of Orrick, MO. Earl is survived also by Sarah's family of five children and 12 grandchildren, he liked to think of as his own. Earl was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City. He helped build a church in Yuma, AZ, where he spent most winters. He loved traveling and going wherever he liked to roam. Most of all, people close to Earl knew that he loved Sarah very much. He also spoke fondly of his wife, Mary M. Farris who preceded him in death in May 1989. Earl will be missed by all who knew him.
