SUE NELL FARRIS Mrs. Sue Nell Farris, 84, of Clarksville died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1988, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of the Ludwig Community, daughter of the late Harve and Mattie Park Taylor widow of Edmond Farris Sr., lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, member of the United Methodist Women, organist for the Methodist Fellowship Sunday School Class, graduate of Clarksville High School and a cum laude graduate of the College of the Ozarks. She was a teacher at Hurie School in Clarksville from 1953-63 and at Pike View Elementary School in Little Rock from 1963 until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the Johnson County and Arkansas Retired Teachers Associations and recipient of a life membership in Parent Teacher Association while at Pike View School. She served as co-organizer and charter member of Johnson County Chapter of Kappa Kappa Iota Society, member of Alpha Theta Conclave, Delta Kappa Gamma in North Little Rock, and Cherry Street Sewing Club. She was also a free-hand artist of flowers and scenery. Survivors include two sons, Robert Ed Farris of Clarksville and Lynn Taylor Farris of Sherwood; four sisters, Juanita Deeds of Fowler, Colo., Polly Kennon and Mildred Hall, both of Clarksville, and Jane Warren of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother, Phil Taylor of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Robert Wesley Farris of Huntsville, Martha Moore of Russellville, and David Edmond Farris of Sherwood; and four great grandchildren, Roberta Farris of Russellville, and Belenda Massengale, Angela Massengale, and Rickey Lee Massengale, Jr., all of Charleston. Funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Clarksviille First United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Williams officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Harvie Taylor, John Michael Hall, Michael B. Stiles, Bobby Taylor, Jackie Cline, and Phillip Taylor.
