Hello Listers. Just a note . The town near where I live just held it's centenial celebration yesterday. Denham Springs had forty people that signed the original charter for the town. To my surprise I learned my great grandfather William J. Farris and his father my great great grandfather were both signers of that charter. My great grandfather William J. Farris was the first Town Marshall and he was also a Superentendant of Weights and Measures. He and his father were founding members of the Methodist Church in Denham Springs and great great grandfather Isaiah S Farris owned a store, (which I have a picture of) near the church. I was happy to learn that someone at the centenial had a picture of my great grandfather William. I am trying to find who it was so I can get a copy. This may not mean much to any one else, but I have been trying for ten years to research this family and I might add with very little success. Just had to tell you guys. Estelle
Estelle, I would sure like a copy of his picture and the store if you manage to get one. Thanks a bunch!
