Farris Jr., 57, of Saxon Drive, a former television newscaster, died Sunday at Daytona Beach Health & Rehabilitation Center, Daytona Beach. Mr. Farris was born in St. Louis and moved to this area in 1993 from San Francisco. He enjoyed reading and storytelling. Survivors include a son, Jason, Brentwood, Calif.; a stepson, Brandon Abell, St. Petersburg; a stepdaughter, Neely Abell, Kentucky; his mother, Leora Farris; two sisters, Nancy Corry, Mount Prospect, Ill., and Donna Horn, Melrose Park, Ill.; and four grandchildren. Settle-Wilder, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
