He was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Reed Springs, Mo., to William Robert and Lottie Naomi Mathews Farris. He was a Baptist and a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in the yard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Farris, in 2000; one grandchild. Survivors include two sons, Paul Farris and wife Karen of Lowell and Ronald Farris and wife Sharon of Pangburn; two daughters, Hazel Jackson and husband Bill and Martha Howle and husband John, all of Springdale; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Don Warford officiating. Burial will be in Goad Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Stan Jackson, Rodney Jackson, Dillon Farris, Sam Farris, Shannon McClelland and Doug Roberts.
