There is an Isaac Farris in the 1850 Illinois Census in Clark County, but his wife was Catharine and they had children Christina, Elizabeth, Samuel, Eliza and Mary. This Isaac was aslo born in VA, but his wife was born in OH according to the census. He may be a brother of my ancester, Samuel Sylvester or Sylvester Samuel Faris, who also lived in Clark County at that time. This probably isn't your branch, but just wanted to let you know about it...in case there might be a connection. Phyllis Risner
Phyllis Thanks for the info, it could possibley be a connection. It appears that Sarah Thompson Faris died around 1840 and a couple of the children match, so could possibly be Isaac and a second wife. Would it be possible to list the ages of this Farris Family ?
