Condello passed away on July 2, 2000 at her home in Concord, Califorina. She was born in Jackson, Kentucky on April 18, 1931, daughter of Leonard Farris and Clara Lykins. She attended Breathitt County High School and was formerly married to the late Thomas A. Smith of Poland, Ohio and is survived by their children: Jeffrey Smith of Oakland; Daniel Smith of Alameda, Cynthia Johansson of Clayton; Judith Smith of Concord and Katherine Smith of Walnut Creek. Jessye was a self-employed geriatric technician and a certified ombudsman for Alameda County nursing facilities. She was also formerly married to John Condello of Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to her children, she is survived by a granddaughter, Melissa Smith of Poland, Ohio; a great-grandson, Michael; sister Bonnie Oliver of Brookfield, Ohio and brother Duke Gordon Farris of Youngstown, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., August 6th at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA. The family requests that in lieu of floral tributes, donations can be made to the Alameda Animal Shelter, 1590 Fortnum Way, Alameda, CA or the Hospice of Contra Costa Foundation, 2051 Harrison St., Concord, CA 94520.
