He was born in South Carolina according to census data about 1800. It appears that he was in Texas by 1841 (waiting on document to verify). He was in Liberty County, Texas in the 1850 census as Daniel Faresh. Later moved to DeWitt County, Texas. He later married an Elizabeth Lowe Parker in DeWitt Co. Children were born by a Kosiah (?) census was illegible. I am looking for any information on him, but especially on his parents. It looks like he came to texas through Mississippi and Lousiana as the census says that two of his sons were born in Mississippi or Louisiana. Censuses differ on this point from year to year.
