My Great Grand Father Robert Thad Farris who was Married to Alice Elvira Whitfield had an 800 acre Farm somewhere around there. My Father was in Ened, Ok, my 2 half Sisters was born in Choctaw, Ok. My father hated my Great Grand Father alot so he never talked about him. All that I can remember was I was a Kid is that when Robert Thad died the land was up for grabs and I can remember my father saying that he didn't want anything that old S.O.B. owned. So somewhere around lie my history and I also think that the county of Pontioc (don't have a map in front of my) has something todo with it. Hi Pete My Gillespie line has a couple of Farris links. One is in Texas, my great grandfather married a Farris from Bastrop, Tx, and another is from my line that settled in Illinois. One thing I'm curious about is the Miller name. I have a number of Gillespie ancestors that have the middle name of Miller, mostly in TN. Yet, I've not been successful in finding an actual Gillespie/Miller marriage. I'd appreciate it if you know of any Gillespie/Miller links.
