Hi Wanda, Several of the Farris's lived in Savanna, Oklahoma and McAlester, Oklahoma. Most of the older Farris's have died off in this area, but a lot of their descendants are still here. Savanna & McAlester, Ok. are located about 60 miles to the North of Atoka, OK. Helen Farris The book "Oklahoma Place Names" states "FARRIS. In southeastern Atoka County, 18 miles southeast of Atoka.
