Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cotten-Bratton Funeral Home Chapel in Weatherford. Chaplain Robert Vaughn of Arlington will officiate. Visitation: noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Annetta Memorial Gardens in Annetta. Ruth was born April 14, 1906, in Annetta, where she grew up and attended public schools. She was the daughter of Edgar Miles Winslow and Daisy Johnson Winslow of Annetta. She married Donald Hounsel April 3, 1922, and they had five children: David, Calvin, Aileen, Lillie and Dora. Donald Hounsel died Jan. 28, 1945. Then Ruth married Luther Farris June 26, 1952. Luther had seven children, three still living: Trula, Bess and Clifton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hounsel in 1945 and Luther Farris in 1955. She was also preceded in death by her children, Calvin and Dora and by her stepchildren, Maldon, LaRue, Kathleen and Weldon. She cherished the loving staff and residents of Arlington Villa and considered them part of her family. Survivors: Son, David Hounsel and wife, Polly of Aledo; daughters, Aileen Prince and husband, Don of Arlington and Lillie Justice of Fredericksburg, Va.; stepson, Clifton Farris and wife, Betty Lee of Fort Worth; stepdaughters, Trula Abernathy of El Paso and Bess Childers of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchhildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of special friends and wonderful caregivers.
