Also survived by a loving brother Earl Faris, Flemingsburg, Kentucky. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Jason Merkt, Sonia (Merkt) Riffle, Phil Bates and Eric Bates. Shay Farris was a retiree of Portman Equipment Company and a World War II Navel Veteran who served in the South Pacific. Visitation on Tuesday at 12 Noon, Wilson Home for Funerals, 35 West Second Street, Manchester, Ohio, with services to follow at 2:00. His sense of humor will be sorely missed.
