He was of the Christian faith. Wayne was a lifelong Bluegrass music fan. Preceded in death by parents, Varley and Gladys Newberry Farris; and sister, Bernice Farris. Survived by children, Tracy Black and husband, Gary of Cookeville and Randy Farris of Lenoir City; grandson, Joseph Black of Cookeville; wife, Gail White Farris of Lenoir City; sisters, Maxine Thompson, Mary Liles and husband, Leonard, Carol Rayfield and husband, Clyde all of Lenoir City; devoted niece, Becky Liles Thompson; several other nieces and nephews and devoted friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to all their friends and family for their devotion and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive friends from 1-2:45 p.m. Sunday with funeral services to follow at ! 3 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Phillips officiating.
