    3. You did the correct thing by responding to the list, Mike. It's the best way we can all benefit from each others' notes! I have some cousins who live in Filbert (the Stacys who own the nursery business there). Ruby Paxton Stacy was my dad's first cousin. She passed away in July 2002 oddly enough on the same day as my father. In fact, Ruby's grandmother was Rebecca Salena Farris (my gr-grandmother). This is the family I am researching. I have been stuck at the same brick wall for about 25 years, so if you have any information that would help, I would appreciate it! Rebecca Salena Farris was the daughter of William or Thomas Farris and Eliza Morris or Morrison. (There was conflicting information on the death certificates of two of their children - thus my confusion as to their exact names). They had the following children: Cynthia born ca 1847 (no further info) Sarah Elizabeth born ca 1847 married Andrew Henry Merritt Dorcas Ann born ca 1852-1854 married William Ashley Rebecca Salena born July 4 1859 married Green Caldwell Paxton Robert born ca 1861 (no further info) Lucinda born ca 1865 (no further info) I wish I could answer your questions regarding your Faris family. I think there are several people on the list who descend from this line. Maybe someone else can help.
