Bryan Simpson officiating. Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Mrs. Farris, 66, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, in Hobbs.  She was born Aug. 25, 1936, in Trachenberg, Germany.  She married Ansel Farris on June 7, 1958, in Landshut, Germany. Mrs. Farris had been a resident of Lea County since 1959.  She was a hostess/cashier at La Fiesta Mexican restaurant for 17 years. Mrs. Farris worked as a waitress at the T-Bone Steak House for 18 years.  She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of Hobbs; one daughter, Diana Davis of Hobbs; one son, Daniel Farris of Hobbs; one sister, Sigrid Linnek of Landshut, Germany; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Thomas Ansel Farris.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
