I received a snail mail letter today from a descendant of Samuel W. Faris/Farris of York County, SC. She said papers she received from her grandmother showed his wife's name as Eliza Clarissa D. Walker. I also had this Eliza Clarissa's maiden name, but noticed that the information on Deb's web site regarding the Civil War info indicated Eliza Clarissa's name was Wallace. Does anyone have documentation as to which name is correct?
