Farris of Greenwood, formerly of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at home. He was 82. Born July 14, 1920, in Lebanon, he was the son of Sigsby and Agnes (Egbert) Farris; they preceded him in death. On Feb. 1, 1942, he married Mary Jo Culley, who survives. Farris worked 50 yars at Farris Construction as its owner and was a courier for Bank One for 10 years. Memberships include First Baptist Church, Greenwood. Also surviving are sons Frank Farris of Whiteland, Michael Farris of Franklin, and Richard Farris of Greenwood; brother James Farris of Terre Haute; sister Leona Parish of California; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brother Roland Farris. Visitation was Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, Greenwood, where services are 11 a.m. today, the Rev. Tom Bridges officiating. Burial is at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 9410 Priority Way, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
