    2. Wanda: I may have some information on this William Farris, but would need to drag my files out of storage first. Offhand I can say that the "M.T. Hall" who signed as a witness is most probably Major Temple Hall, youngest brother (and I believe a half-brother) of the Jenet Hall who married Alexander Faires. It was also witnessed by Arthur Garrison, whose given name I do not recollect offhand, but there were numerous marriages between the Farris, Hall and Garrison clans in that era and area. For example, Jessie Faires, s/o Jenet and Alexander, I believe married Margaret Garrison. A year or two ago Dale Cook provided myself and others with a copy of a letter written by a William Faris around 1798. The will you are speaking about could be one of his sons. Justin Sanders
