She was born April 10, 1925 to the union of Levy and Rosie Griffin Edwards in Kingston, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents Levy and Rosie Griffin Edwards, her husband Deacon Henry (Judge) Farris, Jr., a brother Jack Edwards and four sisters, Rosie E. Ware, Alice E. Atkins, Odessie E. Farris and Levada E. Clark. Survivors include seven children: Larry (Joan) Bates, William (Gwen) Farris, Dessie (Johnny) Evans, Bonnie F. Mitchell, Betty (Albert) Stallworth, Abigail (Lee) Thomas and Agnes F. Douglas, one brother O.C. Edwards; five sisters Kate Burman, Recy Page, Ola Mae Atkins, Odell Freeman and Ida Mae Clark. There will not be a wake. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until religious service at 12:00 noon. Services will be Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 12:00 noon at Mount Mariah Baptist Church, Kingston, LA. Pastor Johnny Baylor will officiate. Interment will be at the Church Cemetery in Kingston.
