She was born March 12, 1910, in Purdy, Oklahoma, to John Candy Farris and Martha Elizabeth Freeney. Her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1919 and she had been a resident of Gila Valley since 1962. She was endowed with many talents, capabilities and abilities so that she would be a blessing to her family and friends. As a natural homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother to three generations and a wonderful friend. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 59 years, Lloyd Swenton Owens; her son, Jerry Lee; grandsons, Vince, Travis and Monte, and granddaughter, Bunny. Survivors include two sons, Ben and Steve, and two daughters, Norma and Linda, as well as her 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grand-children and her 21 great-great-grandchildren.
