Farris b 1829 Franklin, TN d 1866 in Franklin, TN m ca. 1852 Julia Statum a widowed lady with three children Eliza Jane Statum b 1845 Matilda Susannah Statum b 1/10/1849 and William T. Statum b 1850 They then had at least four children of their own. Elizabeth A. Farris b 9/13/1853 Richard V. Farris b ca 1856 Joseph C.Farris-no date and Cornelieus Farris--no date -I presume these last two were born after 1860 because they are not listed with the family on the census. This family is listed in the 1860 Franklin TN census as all Faris. Joseph served in the Confederate Army Inf. with Peter Turney's C Company from 4/29/1861 to 10/13/1861 Joseph O. wrote his last will on Dec. 1st 1866 and it was probated on 7/9/1867. In his will he bequeaths "to my three youngest children Richard V Farris Joseph C Farris and Cornelieus Farris". Has anyone any information on this family? What is Julia Statum's maiden name?
