Bub Ferris, 79, of Johnston Ave., Cohoes, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born in Springfield, Mass., he was the son of the late Ernest E. and Josephine Eisenman Ferris and beloved husband of Mary Mulcahy Ferris of Cohoes. Bub lived most of his life in Cohoes. He was educated in the Cohoes school system and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He retired in 1986 from the NYS Canal system as a section superintendent for the Waterford Locks. Bub was a World War II veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Philippines. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating on Lake George. Besides his wife Mary, he is survived by his loving children, Nora Fennel and her husband Michael of Troy and Anthony Tony Ferris and his wife Maureen of Waterford; his adored grandchildren, Sarah Fennell, Shannon (Kirk) Gendron, Michael Fennell, Justin Ferris and Dana Ferris; and the love of his life, his great-granddaughter, Megan Gendron; his sisters, Marion Schafer of Pa., Elizabeth Gibbons of Waterford and Barbara Babson of Clifton Park. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his brother, Norman Ferris. Funeral from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Services to be held at the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel, Troy at 11 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Philip J.
