She was born April 20, 1917, in Ozark. She attended the University of Arkansas and was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Burford Farris. She is survived by two sons, Greer Farris and David Farris and his wife, Betsy, all of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Sarah Farris Samuelson and her husband, Eric of Tulsa, Ladd Farris of Little Rock, and Delaney Farris of Fort Smith; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
