Burial will be in McDaniel Cemetery. Mrs. Farris died at 9:50 a.m. Friday at her home. She was a retired waitress and a member of Independence United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Velvaleen Burkeen and Barbara Ann Scott, both of Murray; two sons, Donald Gerald Scott and Larry Eugene Scott, both of Murray; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Scott; her second husband, Owen "Red" Farris; a daughter, Dorothy Wyatt; four sisters; two brothers; and a grandson. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
