Emma Marie "Nunnie" Farris Farris, Emma Marie "Nannie" "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7. A mother, grandmother and dear sister, she died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2007, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home, Denham Springs, surrounded by her friends and loved ones. She was 60 and a native of Denham Springs. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Hopkins; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Renee Farris; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Lillie and Bill Haughton, Sylvia "Beaver" and Johnny Cook, Kathryn "Kitty" and Timothy Creed, and Peggy Lange; two brothers and sister-in-law, Willie Lange Jr., and Carl and Tammie Lange; grandson, Blake Posey, two granddaughters, Tiffany Farris and Ashley Hopkins, and four stepgranddaughters. She loved all her grandchildren; each one was dear and special to her. Preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Farris; and grandson, Robert Foret Jr. Visitation at Judson Baptist Church, La. 447, Walker, on Monday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a memorial service at 3 p.m., conducted by Dr. Thomas Higginbotham. Graveside service at Vickers Cemetery, Walker, at 4 p.m. Monday. Special thanks to all the nurses, aides and people at Harvest Manor who helped take care and lovingly became a part of her family. Thank you, Harvest Manor, and thanks also to all the friends and relatives who came by and cared during our time of need.
