A native of Burke county, she had lived here her all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Bernice Crawley Farris; one brother, Jackie Dean Farris; and one sister, Betty Jean Farris. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Lisa and Jeff Thompson of Morganton; a son and daughter in law, Mark and Pam Nichols of Morganton; one brother, Walter Farris of Morganton; two grandchildren, Danielle Ward and Nicholas Thompson; she is also survived by a niece, two nephews and numerous other relatives. The family held a private funeral service with interment at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mem.com.
