Isham or Isom Farris was a son of James Esom Farris. Isham was born January 2, 1751 . in Lunenburg County, Virginia. He and his first wife (Elizabeth?) had as many as eight children. . One of Isham's children was Eden Farris, born in 1782. She married Daniel Shotwell. Laurel County Death Notices shows Eden Shotwell age 73, parents, Isham and Elizabeth Faris; widowed. b. Virginia; d. 4 Dec 1855. On September 1, 1806 Isham Farris married Elizabeth Yancey. Rev. Stewart performed the ceremony, Bk A, p. 18. Note- Ian Esom Farris was born ca 1640 in Scotland.
