Phillips PALESTINE - Services for Clara F. Phillips, 82, Magnolia, formerly of Palestine, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home chapel, Palestine, with the Rev. Warren King officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery, Palestine. Mrs. Phillips died April 19, 2007, at her residence. She was born Sept.14, 1924, in Palestine to the late James Hanks and Vera Tucker Farris. She grew up and lived most of her life in Palestine. She was a homemaker and member of Champions Church of Christ in Magnolia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Phillips in 1999; sisters, May Emma Stovall, Mag Jenkins, Lou Owens and Inez Kelley; and brothers, Jimmy Farris and Tucker Farris. Survivors include sons, Blake Phillips, Magnolia, and Barry Phillips, Houston; sister, Maurine Grimes, Dallas; and four grandchildren.
