My paternal grandmother always told my Dad that he was a cousin of "Bo" Faris, the baseball player who died in WWII . I have found some information on his family, 1 Henry T. Jan 20, 1944 in Italy [WW II] ..... 2 Edna Farris ..... 2 Nettie Farris ..... 2 Maria Ona Virginia Farris ......... +Joseph Julian McKeown m: Dec 12, 1948 in North Augusta, Aiken Co, SC Henry T. is probably a grandson of one of the children or grandchildren of James and Rebecca Farris. Does Westview Cem have records that might list his parents? I found only one Henry in the 1900 Richmond Co, GA census records. He was living with William Darracott or Garricott b. 1873 and wife Sarah age (28), 3/18/18(72) on the census image. Henry Farris is listed as a step-son, age 11, b. 8/1888. No census available to check to see who Sarah was married to, but she would have been 16 in 1888. Howell Farris, son of James and Rebecca Farris had a daughter Sallie listed in the 1870 and 1880 census b. ca 1864-1866. Dates don't work with the Sarah above, if the dates are correct. They were difficult to read. Any of you Farris folks out there know these folks.
