James Farris born probably Coffee Co., TN & Elizabeth Logan I think they had 3 children, Thomas Logan born about 1829 who married Rebecca Cates,, daughter of Ephraim Cates & Rebecca Lindsay, another son, name not known and daughter Aveline Farris born about 1834 who married a Cates At some point this family passed through White and Hamilton Counties because the Cates family lived there . I am interested in the origin of this line They lived in Missouri counties Carter, Oregon, Wayne & Reynolds at some point. Thomas & Rebecca had about 7 children Joseph, Ephraim, William, Thomas, Florence, James & Martha Do not see a family connection to my Farris line but one son of Thompson Farris settled in Oregon Co.,MO.
