She was a native of Salem and a member of First Evangelical Methodist Church in Salem. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Brainard and Betty Farris; daughter, Ollie Mae Harless. She is survived by her husband, Robert Frank McMackel; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Marion Farris; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Aaron Carper; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 1999 at 2 p.m. from the John M. Oakey & Son, Salem, with the Rev. Floyd B'Hymer officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
