Hi John Fariss: The children of Wm Faris and wife Martha Clardy have been all worked up and are in a file at the Franklin co Public Library there in Winchester, TN. I copied this material but the researcher name was not on the pages I copied. It appears that this couple had a Bible record: Wm Fariss Jr b Dec 23, 1788 in Pendelton Dist. SC md Oct 11, 1810 to Martha Clardy dau of Benjamin Clardy and Agnes Booth. Wm died Feb 7 1861 in Franklin co Tn Martha b Jun 16 1794 in Pendleton dist, SC died May 11, 1873 in Franklin co Tn children: Agnes Fariss b Nov 6 1811 Richard C. Fariss b Apr 11, 1814 Abram L. Fariss b July 7, 1816 Samuel C. Fariss b july 15 1819 Nancy Caroline Fariss b May 30, 1820 Samuel King Fariss b Sept 25, 1822 Mary Louisa Fariss b Jan 13, 1825 Harvey W. Fariss b Feb 14 1827 Edward Bryant Fariss b Jun 11 1829 Martha Melvina Fariss b Dec 28 1831 William Monroe Fariss b Apr 22 1834 Several of these folks have Coffee co Tn connections. This couple did not name a son James so I have ruled him out as being connected to my group of Farris. There is only about 4 or 5 separate Farris lines coming into Franklin co, Coffee co Tn area.
