Hi, all, but especially Pete and Dale, There is a Templeton-Faris marriage in my ancestry, and it would be interesting for me to know whether any members of my immediate family are closely connected to the Farrises of SC. James R. Templeton, Sr married Martha "Patsy" Faris in Pittsylvania Co., VA in the early 19th c. James' father was Martin Templeton (b. 1767), and Martha's *mother* was Juriah Faris, daughter of Jacob (d. 1815 in Pittsylvania Co.). I do not know the identity of Martha's father (a Faris?), nor am I sure of the name of Jacob's father.
