Hi, My Faris (note the one R) is a mystery. I have not found the father of my great grandmother. Emily Bellville Faris, born August 4, 1852, was listed in the 1870 Spencer County, IN census living in the home of her parents, Andrew B. and Martha A. (Gudgen) Bellville. Also living there was her daughter, Cora Ruth Faris, age 7 months. Emily was age 17. I don't know who Cora Ruth's father was. There were not any other Faris families in the county. Emily Faris later married a man named Scott? Loney. Emily Faris Loney also had a son named Ellis Loney who was stationed in France, probably during World War I. Does anybody have a spare Faris in Indiana? Thanks, Dana Christian
