Hi, My name is Debi Smallwood Brimmer and my Farris line is through my mother and my brickwall is on William O. Farris. I have found tons of info about the Rings...next to nothing about William O. William O. (Oat, Otis, Oade?) Farris, b. 1872 (Saltville, VA), d. 1953 +Mary Ella (Ellen?) Ring children were: Bob, Harry, Charlie, Dolyn, Lolyn, Anna (married William Carroll), Flora, Gaye, Ida and my grandfather, Willie Russell Farris Willie Russell b. 1-17-1905 , d. 1980 + Lydia Margaret Keene children: Edward Paul, Albert, Ida, Ella Lou, Ralph, Otis, and Yvonne Christine (my mother) William O. and Mary Ella are buried in the Ring Family Cemetary, Russell County, VA. I don't know whether William was born in Russell, Smyth or Washington County. Family rumours say that William's parents were not married but had the same last name. His mother is supposed to have died around 1930 and his father is rumoured to have gone to Texas. I just know that one of you wonderful Farris searchers has this brickwall just ready for me to knock down! Thanks, Debi
