    1. Re: [FARRIS-L] Re: FARRIS-D Digest V99 #80
    2. Hi Mary; Your names don't sound familiar to me. I was born and raised in northern Calif., I can remember while I was growing up everyonce in awhile I would pull out the phone book and look to see how many Farris' I could find, and I could only find my emidiate family, uncles and cousins and I knew all of them. The ones that are there now migrated there. When I moved to Phoenix in 1977 I had one relative and she was married to a Porter. So I believe the ones that are here now are from another family and I don't know any of them.My family started out in S.C. just like most of the rest, went to Ark., Missouri, Oklahoma, one went Ill. and died and my grandfather Johnny Thomas took his brood to Calif., and some of his sisters fallowed him out. So you can see Mary this Gen stuff is like crakes in a dry river bottom they go everywhere. It takes a hell of a lot of work and 95% luck to find someone, you need full names intials help but are not good enough to pinpoint someone, one wrong bit will mess you up for a long time until you find something that puts you back on track. The people on FARRIS-L help you do that, so don't give up keep asking because we're out there you not alone trying to find someone. Pete
