pete it just seems to me that all of came from ireland. at least i know yrs ago my father told me we did. and we came from missouri. so it seems to me that all of us are cuzins from the beginning.....from there is is truly a mystery. it just seems we are still cousins, although no one knows how we got to where we are today.....what i cant understand is, before i came along, my father was married before, those children spelled farris with one s, then my brother and i from the same father have 2 s's at the end.....since daddy and mama have passed there is no family to tell me why in 1920-1956 the farriss's had to change the spelling and cconfuse us kids so much.....it is hard enough trying to find boundaries to counties etc, but when and why the spelling changed is also a mystery........so i am just trying to find anyone who knows Cowan, Willie Rush, Vernie, maybe Doyle, or Vestal (from calif, my stepbrother-who has also passed away). and willie rush had a wife named nettie chennault....i know they are real, have really old pictures of them when daddy (vernie) was a baby......this has to be the hardest thing we have ever done.......thx much mary
