The family came to Dekalb County from Tallapoosa, Alabama. They are found in the 1860 census there. Descendants of Henry Jones 1 Henry Jones b:1820 .. +Huldy A. b:1820 m: Bef. 1858 ..... 2 Missouri A.E. Jones b: July 1845 ......... +Mordecai D. Farris b: April 1837 m: February 10, 1870 Tallapoosa, AL ..... 2 Roxanna S. Jones b: 1848 ..... 2 Wealthy A. Jones b: 1849 ..... 2 John W. Jones b: 1853 ......... +Sara Elizabeth Carter ..... 2 Sely A. Jones b: 1854 ..... 2 Charlotte Jones b: 1856 ..... 2 George H. Jones b: 1857 ......... +Fannie Cunningham m: June 30, 1889 .... 2 Martin S. Jones b: 1859 ..... 2 Noah S. Jones b: February 24, 1861 d: September 06, 1944 ......... +Patsy b: February 21, 1859 d: February 05, 1929 Does anyone know if John Wesley Jones b 3-13-1851 is the John in the above family. I found an article about him in "Heritage of Dekalb County, Alabama". Thomas Fletcher King married Beaula Jones. She was the daughter of George H. Jones above. Thomas was postmaster in Sylvania, Al. I believe that Charlotte Jones may have been called "Emma". She married William Alexander Causey. If anyone has information about this JONES line. Please share with me. Thanks so very much, Joan Green ==== JONES Mailing List ==== Archived postings to the JONES mailing list can be found on the WEB at: http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl --------------9CEAC16D537848E2F42EF2C7--
