There is a Polly Faris, 65 yrs. living in Fluvanna Co with Nancy, 37; Lucy, 14; and Willie, 8; in 1880 VA census. Willie is listed as living with this family, relationship not reported. Anyone know anything about this Willie? Could it be my William Oat Farris, born 1872? Maybe he is living with his grandmother? Another curious thing in the 1880 VA census: Oat Farris, 10 years old living with James Blackwell as a boarder, servant, in Washington Co. Family history has my ggrandfather William Oat born in Saltville, Washington Co in 1872 (1872 is year on his tombstone in Ring Family Cemetary). Maybe this date is wrong and he is really 10? I know I am stretching....... There is just no family in VA with Frank, Flora, Sidney and William Oat Farris (faris et.al.) in 1880.....sigh
