To Sharon and Tim Day, I was thrilled to see you are doing Farris gen. in Missouri. I have been trying to connect my ggrandfather,JOHN FARRIS and wife. REBECCA DICKSON with parents and siblings. They are in Schuyler Co., Mo. in the 1850 Census. It shows he was born in Ky in 1815 and she in Pa. They had 6 girls and one boy. The boy, WILLIAM ZACHARIAH FARRIS, is my grandfather. He went to Randolph Co., Mo., married Nancy Louisa Bunnel, Jo Ann Chapman. He had 5 girls and one boy. The youngest, Mary Louis, was my mother. JOHN AND REBECCA'S girls were, Catherine M. TAYLOR, TABITHA JANE m.WRIGHT; MARY E. FARRIS, m. WILL STARR; SARAH ELLEN F.m. MARION BAYLESS; ELVIRA FRANCES; and MARTHA FARRIS m. HINTON. Another fact you may be interested in: my Aunt Lillie Farris m. Cecil Day. Their two sons are still living--one in Randolph on a farm, and the other in Marshall, Mo. My hope is to find someone with an ancestor who had a brother named John and born in Ky. They went to Indiana from Kentucky and then to Mo. Their oldest child was born in Indiana. Or maybe find descendants of the Taylors, Wrights, Bayless. or Hintons. I am keeping my fingers crossed hoping some of this connects with your infomation. I have no idea where these relatives may be, Mo. or ?. I will ask my cousins, Farris Day or Kenneth Day if they have some Day gen., too.
