Carol, Your Thomas W. C. Farris could be the grandson of Thomas W. C. Farris, who died in Cooper Co MO in the 1840s. His son Eri Morley Farris had a son Thomas W, who was born about 1853. I do think I found your Thomas in the 1880 Grayson Co TX U.S. census Roll 1306 ED16 Sh24 L20 Farris, Thomas W M 28 MO Alice W F 25 MO Alonzo W M 7 S MO Alice W F 5 D MO Alfred W M 2 S TX Alma W F 5 D MO Don't know if Thomas was married before Alice Plunkett or if Alice was living with him to take care of his children. Since I didn't know who this family was at the time, I didn't take down all the data. My Farrises were from Cooper/Cole/Moniteau County MO and went to Grayson Co before 1850.
