NC near Wales and all the children, except Ann were supposed to have been born in NC. (Info from family Bible and my dad.) Came to Palestine, TX (Anderson Co.) apprx. 1896-1898 (According to pension). Came to Nacogdoches, TX apprx. 1903-1905 (Pension). In a book on the 1850 York Co. census there is listed a James D. FARIS age 3. The census is as follows (all born in York Dist) Samuel FARIS 31 M Farmer $1600 b.
