PENSACOLA (FL) NEWS JOURNAL THURSDAY 14, JANUARY 1998 EARL FRANCES FARRIS "You were a good and loving husband and father, and we will miss you, we are proud to call you Dad" Earl Farris, 88, of Pensacola,died Tuesday, January 12, 1999. Mr. Farris was born in Springfield, Missouri, September 27,1910, and lived in Pensacola since 1944, considering Pensacola home. He was retired from the school board with this last term at George Stone School. Previously at Escambia High School and Myrtle Grove Elementary. During the war he served as a Captain in the Merchant Marine seeing combat and was wounded serving his country in the Leyte Gulf. He was a member of the Unity Church of Christianity. He is survived by his wife, Marie, five daughters and their families: Diane and Jim McRory, of Pensacola with daughter Donna Marie, Donna and Joseph Few of Atlanta, Georgia, Delores and Malcolm Stover of Jacksonville, Florida with children Jennifer Lara, Ryan Patrick and Andrew Farris, Susan Farris of Pensacola, Sylvia Munson of Houston, Texas with children Amanda Marie and Allison Hope. Actual years were 120 and we love you. Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, January 14, 1999 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens with readings by Gary Iverson and Rev. J. B. Shoumaker, Jr. Officiating, friends may call at the funeral home from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday. FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
