    1. Re: [FARRIS-L] Edward Farris
    2. Sherri, Thank you for answering my post. The Edward of 1778 that you listed could definitely be a possibility depending on whether he stayed in Washington Co. or not. I will have to look and see what I have on the family of Edward and Agnes, several descendants have sent me items but every one seems to lose track of Edward and Agnes after the deed in 1793 in Washington Co. The Edward I am interested in was closely connected to the Elisha Farris killed by Indians near Gate City, VA in 1790. From what I have been told, Edward was administrator of Elisha's estate. I have failed to obtain copies of the original records. Edward moved to Lincoln Co. KY and sold land in Virginia to Champion Farris. Edward lived for a while in Lincoln Co. amongst others of my line and then removed to TN as early as 1801 with Nimrod Farris and Nancy Farris Farris his wife. Edward gave consent for Nancy to marry Nimrod. Nimrod was the son of John Esom Farris and Martha (Lucy) Campbell Farris of Halifax/Pittsylvania Cos. VA and Lincoln/Knox/Laurel Cos. KY. If anyone knows anything about any of these EDWARDs I would appreciate hearing from you. Sandy
