Wanda, You have some good points about the multiple lists. I have trouble keeping up with one list! Also, so many researchers would only look for the spelling their family used and ignore the fact that most of these families have had their names spelled in various ways back when the spellings were left up to various clerks. My own is an example. I have personally found it spelled Faris, Farris, Pharroz, Pharis, Pherris, Pheris, etc. and there is one lady in the family but down another branch, that swears that I should use FARIS instead of FARRIS which is how I have seen my Paul Farris listed. So there are plenty of researchers who are set on one spelling of the name and may ignore the rest. I am going to join all the lists because I am interested in all the spellings but will remember not to make multiple posts. Thanks for advising us about the new lists.
