Hi Group, John Robert is my 2nd Great-Grandfather. I have John James in my file, but did not know he was my Great-grandfather, George Templeton Farris! In answer to your question, though. John Robert fought in B. Company Campbell Rifles 12th Infantry South Carolina Vol. He enrolled on 8 August 1861. He was a private in the company. There is supposed to be a pension record for him and hope to get it soon when I go to the Archives. He reported to CampLightWood, Knot Springs. This Camp is located near what is now Fort Jackson , South Carolina (where I did my basic training:-) ) If I can tell you more e-mail me. Thanks Dale Cook
